Well-established public work contractor in Santa Clara county is currently seeking a qualified and highly motivated candidate to fill the role of an office administrative assistant on a full-time basis.
Plan and schedule appointments, events and deliveries
Greet customers and vendors
Provide administrative support to the project manager
Provide support to the human resources and payroll department including but not limited to:
- onboarding of new workers, layoffs, terminations, submit Business Card requests, daily input of attendance and time management for each worker. Sort and distribute payroll checks.
- provide support for benefit enrollments and terminations
- help with union dispatches and remittance
provide support to the accounting department. File invoices, get approval for payments for invoices and mail payments
Ordering material, scheduling deliveries and dispatching drivers
Provide support with document filing, submittals, RFIs, construction drawings, subcontracts, permits for the projects
Minimum 2 years of experience as administrator in a construction company.
High School diploma, some college preferred.
Ability to multi-task, work in a fast pace environment.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must be comfortable in using computer and software such as Microsoft Office.
Valid drivers license and clear driving record required.
Experience with Quickbooks is a plus.
