           JOB DESCRIPTIONS & RATES below:       

 CONSTRUCTION MANAGER –

 To support Feedwater Heater Replacements. Develop Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), electrical and/or Mechanical Implementation Plans, and Schedule. Estimating Cost and manpower estimates.

 RATES:

$60 -$67.00/hr

Per Diem = $480/wk

Mob/Demob max $250 each

Hours: avg 50 during non-outage, avg 72 during outage

Duration: till EOY but has great potential to go to Spring 2015

 

PROCUREMENT ENGINEER –

 Bachelor’s degree required. 8-10 years’ experience may be acceptable in lieu of degree

4 years previous experience in Nuclear Procurement/Procurement Engineering or Material Management.

Procurement Engineer, Sr.:

Bachelor’s degree required. 10 + years’ experience may be acceptable in lieu of degree with required approval.

8 -10 years previous experience in Nuclear Procurement/Procurement Engineering or Material Management. PE License preferred

 RATES:

Engineer = $59-$69.00/hr

Engineer, Sr = $67-$77.00/hr.

Per Diem = $480/wk

Mob/demob = max $250 each

 

PROJECT MANAGER-

 The project manager will be expected to perform project management activities in accordance with Nuclear Plant (NP) project management processes and procedures. NP project management processes are modeled after those described in the project management institute (PMI) published Project Management Book of Knowledge (PMBOK). As such, it is desired that the position be filled by a person who is familiar with PMBOK processes.

Some experience in the nuclear engineering fields will be required. The project will require the coordination of vendor and engineering resources. The project will require work to support proposed changes in the nuclear fields of licensing, procedures, instrumentation and safety analysis.

The project manager will become part of a project management organization and report to the projects department manager.

Overtime will not be authorized unless previously approved.

Scope of work:

o  Scope – Time –  Cost –  Risk –  Quality –  Human resources

o  Communications

o  Procurement

•        Must have PMP, degree or extensive Project Management experience.

 RATES:

3 years project w/1 year nuclear = to $46.00/hr

5 years project experience w/3 years nuclear, Degree or PMP preferred = to $70/hr

5 years project experience w/5 years nuclear, degree required OR 10 year project and 5 years nuclear, PMP required for either = to $80.00/hr

PD $480/week.

Max $250 in/out travel

Hours = 40 with OT as needed (avg 45)

 

PROJECT CONTROLS LEAD SCHEDULER-

 The Projects Group is in need of an experienced lead scheduler to lead the scheduling activities necessary to plan and execute major nuclear plant EPC projects including engineering, procurement, project management, and construction activities. The scheduling group is expected to develop, track and status integrated project schedules from cradle to grave. The primary scheduling tool is Primavera P6.. The Lead Scheduler will work closely with the Project Managers, Construction Leads, and Responsible Engineers to ensure all work activities are appropriately scheduled. The successful candidate will also interface with Work Planning to ensure Major Project’s activities are coordinated with and included in plant daily, weekly, preoutage and outage schedules as appropriate. Additional interfaces include working with vendors to identify and report on their work activities.

Additional job duties would include but not limited to:

Working with the Long Range Plan Group

Working with Engineering on resource loading the schedule

Attending P6 Issues Meeting, taking meeting notes and updating meeting matrix

Update and issue Project Review Board meeting schedule

Assemble standard templates as needed

Update/Revise Desk Top Guide guides as needed

 Experience in P6, Project schedules, portfolio Program with 5-10 yrs lead/supervisor experience

Bachelor’s degree in a technical or financial/business field required. 5-8 years of progressively more difficult scheduling experience. Detailed knowledge of scheduling practices, methods and procedures. 10 + years may be acceptable in lieu of degree

 RATES:

up to $78.00/ph

Per Diem = $480/wk

Mob/demob = max $250 each

 

ESTIMATOR:

 At least 5 years of experience in nuclear plant screening, feasibility, control and detailed level estimating, including experience with on-site walk downs at nuclear plants for project scope development and information gathering

Engineering or Design experience is desirable

Experience with estimating costs of all phases of a project (feasibility, design/planning/procurement, execution/implementation and close-out

Experience in working in a team oriented, collaborative environment

Solid understanding of estimating and material take-off techniques, unit price cost data, classes of estimates, work breakdown structures (WBS), and estimating database maintenance as they apply to complex nuclear industry projects

In-depth knowledge of engineering, procurement, and construction processes associated with nuclear projects

Knowledge of estimating software and tools; (WINEst experience highly preferred) familiarity with cost control and scheduling tools and processes.

Knowledge of risk analysis, contingency, and escalation assessment.

Understanding of heavy industrial construction procedures and methods, nuclear site factors and market condition’s impact on project costs and properly reflect in estimate.

Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field, such as Engineering, Construction Management preferred. 3-5 years of experience in Construction, Engineering or electric utility environment is required. ASPE (American Society of Professional Estimator) Certification preferred. Previous station software (Prism and/or Winest) experience preferred.

 RATES:

$53/hr for 5 yrs or less experience

$67/hr = degree required and 8-10 years required

Per Diem = $480/wk

TEST ENGINEERS:

 Develop Test Plans, Test Procedures, Factory Acceptance Test, Start Up Testing.

One position must be Electrical for the Transformer Replacement – could potentially only be 2-3 months

 

  • TEST ENGINEER-

Bachelor’s degree required. 8-10 years’ experience may be acceptable in lieu of degree.

3 – 5 years’ experience performing construction, startup and or operational testing activities. At least 1 year should be Nuclear.

RATES:

Test Engineer:  = Up to $53.00/ph

Test Engineer, Sr.:  = Up to $75.00/ph

I&C PROJECT ENGINEER- 

 Project Engineer to assist with engineering process, working with assist Engineer, developing Engineering Plans. Digital Controls experience or education preferred.

1 of the 3 positions needs to be heavy in digital controls and a computer science degree may suitable.

EPU – Life Cycle Management — upgrading Analog to Digital equipment
