Water Piping,Sewage Piping

Combined sewer system improvements, including rehabilitation of the existing sewer, new drain for separation of inflow, new water main and services, exterior sewer service backflow valves, along with support equipment and accessories as shown and specified. The Work shall include the installation of approximately 1910 feet of new drain pipe (24-inch and 36-inch diameter reinforced concrete and 12-inch and 18-inch diameter polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and ductile iron (DI) and approximately 265 vertical feet of new drain manholes (Type II and Type VI), 12 catch basins and 430 feet of connecting lateral pipes, and a connecting drain structure to the Jefferson Street Interceptor; approximately 1,800 feet of cured-in-place-liner rehabilitation of the existing combined sewer pipe (24- inch diameter brick, and 10-inch diameter VC); manhole lining, sewer service lateral tophats, and one 24-inch replacement sewer repair and one 10-inch combined sewer spot sewer repair; and approximately 1,300 feet of new 12-inch diameter water main, 3 hydrants, and 845 feet water service lateral renewals (6-inch, 4-inch, 1.5-inch diameter). Portions of the new drain work will be constructed along an Owner easement obtained along property owned by Hartford Hospital and the construction work shall be fully coordinated with the Owner and property owner. The Work includes all associated earthwork, fill materials, dewatering and drainage, maintenance of sewer and drainage flow, connections existing sewer and drain pipe and structures, pre- and post-construction television inspection, temporary and permanent paved surface restoration, surface restoration, traffic management and control during construction, environmental protection measures and all miscellaneous work and cleanup necessary to complete the project.
