Copper pipes

Copper pipes are typically corrosion resistant and, with the proper tools, easily assembled. There are 4 different types of copper pipes. They are DWV (drain, waste, vent), K, L, and M.

Hard-temper pipes are rigid and are used for exposed piping in buildings, since it can be fitted closely to walls and ceilings. It comes in K, L, and M thickness and is sold in lengths of 20 feet and less.

Soft-temper pipes are used more underground and inside walls. They cost more than hard temper, but offer the advantage of being able to be bent without crimping and that you do not need as many fittings. Available in K and L thickness and is sold in 20, 60, and 100 foot coils.
