NASCAR Driver Michael Waltrip to Mow Race Fan’s Lawn

(ARA)- Want your lawn to be the talk of the town? It will be if Michael Waltrip shows up to mow your yard.

That’s right. NASCAR veteran Michael Waltrip will put his driving skills to work behind the wheel of a Yard-Man mower as he cuts the lawn of one lucky winner of the Yard-Man “Honey, Is That Michael Waltrip Mowing Our Lawn?” sweepstakes. The winner, to be chosen in August, will also receive a garage full of lawn maintenance equipment and NASCAR apparel. In addition to the high-performance lawn equipment, the winner earns bragging rights, too.

Green With Envy

Neighbors simply won’t believe their eyes as Waltrip, his pit crew and a team of landscapers professionally manicure the sweepstakes winner’s lawn.

“I love doing stuff like this,” says Waltrip. “The mower handles great – just like a racecar. I’m pretty sure we won’t see speeds over 5 mph, but it is bound to be exciting.”

“The ‘Honey, Is That Michael Waltrip Mowing Our Lawn?’ sweepstakes is one way we bring the excitement of NASCAR to fans nationwide,” said Tim Coughlin, national sales and marketing manager for Yard-Man. “It will be a lot of fun to see Michael riding a mower, he really gets into fun events like this!”

Beginning in February race fans can visit www.yardman.com or sign up at any track playing host to the Yard-man Garage and enter to win a chance to have Waltrip and the No. 66 Yard-Man pit crew mow their lawn. The winner will be randomly selected from all entries in August 2006.

The sweepstakes is part of Yard-Man’s NASCAR racing program. The company, a leading manufacturer of lawn and garden tractors and walk-behind mowers, is sponsoring veteran drivers Waltrip and Kenny Schrader in 15 2006 NASCAR Busch Series races. To bring the sponsorship alive for fans, the company has created the traveling Yard-Man Garage featuring true-to-life racing simulators. Visit www.yardman.com for up-to-date Yard-Man racing news.
