Nails will work for the wall installation, they are cheaper than screws.

From my experience I know it’s important to get good tools for that. I usually use a 4″ straight-bristled brush for large areas and a 0.5″ angled brush for details.

I would not do that… Consider using ceramic or vinyl tiles.

I would rent an electric demolition chipping hammer. It works really quickly and pulverizes the tile.
